She quickly took a step before slamming the green button, and a heat shield slid down to block the plate from frying any exposed skin, melting hair, or just blinding her. Taylor turned away from the plate and hung up the particle projector on the waiting hanger. Instead, a slight electronic trill, high-pitched and ever so grating, was ringing out from one of her workshop tables, all of which were piled high with crap. Yet, the retrofitted warehouse didn’t return to its quiet self after cutting power. The plate glowed like the sun, even through her visor, and would melt through anything it touched, so the same force that kept the surrounding area a vacuum also held it aloft. Taylor let off the trigger as she finished the last side of the hexagon plate. It turned the week-long armoring part of her project into almost half a year! Simple steel armor was apparently the devil's work, and it would only settle for exotic steel alloys bonded with ceramics at the least. Specially made armored clothing smoldered under the pure power as it fought to keep her from being cooked for brief moments.įrom the start of this project, Taylor called the whole thing "bullshit." She couldn’t just "make do" with substandard material, and her power went through a fit every time she tried. Smoke filled the air when superheated waste flew off, igniting anything it could just by sheer ambient radiance.
Taylor’s shoulder hurt under the heavy strain as her arms fought to keep the nozzle on a precious line.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH GOT YOUR SIX TORRENT GENERATOR
It roared in her ears as the generator cranked up and air burned. The thick leather padding charred under the particle tube as the helmet blocked out the world but the small sun. One wouldn’t be wrong to consider it a weapon, as everything she made at least had the potential to be a weapon, as frustrating as it was. The heavy tube on her shoulder pushed the limits of heat containment as a stream of heavily charged particles was pumped in through several connecting tubes.
Sparks of plasma whizzed past Taylor as small ceramic plates bonded with metal under the onslaught to form armored plates.
